Enhanced Responsible Adult

This comprehensive course, crafted by CANI College, meets the requirements for a 40-hour Responsible Adult training program, enriched with additional content on creating and operating a home daycare. It offers foundational knowledge through online sessions that encompass a wide range of topics, including child development from birth to 12 years, child guidance, health, safety, nutrition, and basic programming skills. This curriculum is specifically tailored to equip individuals who are new to the field of child care or are looking to establish their own home daycare business.

The program also delves into the logistics of starting and managing a home daycare, covering essential aspects such as business licensing, operational guidelines, marketing strategies, and financial management. By the end of this course, participants will not only understand the core principles of child care but also possess the practical skills necessary to successfully manage a home-based daycare, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.

 

 

Admission Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent (i.e. GED).
  • 18 years of age Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through with prior education in English at grade 10 level or higher or through an English language assessment.

Refund policy:

Before program start date, institution receives a notice of withdrawal:

  • No later than seven days after student signed the enrolment contract, and

  • Before the program start date

100% tuition and all related fees, other than application fee.

  • Student has completed no more than 30% of the program.

Institution may retain up to 30% of the tuition paid.

Student has completed more than 30% but less than 50% of the program.

Institution may retain up to 50% of the tuition paid.

Student has completed 50% or more of the program. 

No refund due.

  • They may be hired as early childhood educators assistants (ECEAs), or before- and after-school programmers.
